A suspected Yahoo Boy introduced a brazen dimension to his trade on Thursday, November 10, when he attacked a girl aged 23, in a shop at the Aguda, Surulere area of Lagos and cut off her right breast in broad daylight for rituals.
The girl identified as Pelumi Omotayo was said to be working in her shop located at No.186, Adetola Street, Aguda, Lagos, when she was suddenly attacked by the suspected Yahoo Boy whose name was given as Junior Njokwu after he had sneaked in at about 2.35pm.
Her shrill cries attracted neighbours and passersby who rushed to her rescue but her right breast had already been severed by Njokwu, aged 26, with blood dripping from his hands.
He was about being lynched by an irate mob at Savana Street, Aguda, but escaped death by the whiskers when he was rescued by a team of policemen drafted to the scene in response to a distress call.
A witness told Scudnews on Friday that the victim was rushed to Federal Medical Centre, FMC Ebute Metta for treatment while the police took the suspect to Randle General Hospital where he was treated and discharged but placed under protective custody.
It was learnt that upon interrogation by police detectives, the suspect had confessed to be a Yahoo Boy and was asked by a yet-to-be-identified native doctor to bring a female human breast to perform a ritual.
The police said investigation is ongoing to track his accomplices in the crime.
