Three Chinese national working at a wood factory in Ife-Olukotun, Ijumu Local Government Area of Kogi State have been reportedly abducted by a gang of armed men.
The gunmen were said to have stormed the Chinese Wood Factory in the community at about 10.25am on Friday, November 19, and whisked away the expatriates in a commando style.
A witness said the armed men, all masked, shot sporadically as they made their way out of the factory after abducting their victims.
Scudnews could not ascertain the names of the kidnapped expatriates as of the time of filing this report, but a senior police officer at the headquarters of the state police command who craved anonymity, confirmed the incident.
He said efforts by security forces were ongoing to track the kidnappers and rescue the victims.
