Security has been beefed up at the United States of America, US Embassy in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital city following the discovery of a strange surveillance drone in the premises.
The drone was reportedly found in the early hours of Thursday, April 7, triggering a security scare among officials of the embassy and members of the diplomatic community.
Officials of the Embassy were said to have reported the strange find to the police at about noon on Thursday.
It was considered suspicious and a security breach.
The police however assured that it has woven a security net around the perimeter of the Embassy to forestall any untoward incident.
