Dangote’s Top Expatriate Manager Commits Suicide

Residents of Okpella in Edo State are bewildered over the death of a top-ranking expatriate staff of the Dangote Cement Factory at the bustling community in horrendous circumstances.

The company’s Deputy General Manager (DGM) Mines, Gohil Mangalisinh Nathusinh, reportedly committed suicide by hanging himself on a ceiling fan in his apartment in the early hours of Thursday, January 26, 2023.

Sources said the circumstances that propelled him to commit the act had yet to be ascertained as no suicide note was found in his apartment.

 Aged 48, Nathusinh, an Indian national, was said to have killed himself at about 7.40am on the ill-fated day.

It was learnt that the incident was reported to the police at Okpella Division at about 9am by the company’s administrative manager, Mr. Olayinka Ayorinde.

Police operatives drafted to his residence reportedly evacuated his body to an undisclosed mortuary.   

It could not be confirmed if an investigation would be launched on the incident.
